I was speaking with several people in the auto industry and it appears "kit" cars are the new thing.  Yes I did see a lambo that was a kit car.  I get building classics and vintage cars or restoring them but making a new age exotic using a kit?  Maybe it is out of my league but I also saw a Shelby kit car and it was at a car show, vehicle was flawless, gathered plenty of lookers.  I don't know..I am up in the air on this one, I would love to have so many vehicles that I know I could never have but maybe that is why I love them so much because they are unattainable or maybe not now?

The  Bugatti Model 100  was a purpose built  air racer  designed to compete in the 1939  Deutsch de la Meurthe Cup Race . The aircraft was not completed by the September 1939 deadline and was put in storage prior to the  German invasion of France . Ettore Bugatti  started work in 1938 to design a racer to compete in the Deutsch de la Meurthe Cup Race, using engines sold in his automotive line for co-marketing. Bugatti's chief engineer was  Louis de Monge , with whom Bugatti had worked before. Bugatti was also approached by the French Government to use the technology of the racing aircraft to develop a fighter variant for mass production. The aircraft was the source of five modern patents including the inline engines, V tail mixer controls, and the automatic flap system. It was inevitable, but that makes it no less exciting; Nissan’s electric car march is breeding performance cars, and the first could be this Leaf Nismo. We say  could  because it’s officially a concept. It’s been previewed in this image and will be shown in full at the Tokyo motor show in a couple of weeks. In August 1915, the company came under the direction of Neapolitan entrepreneur  Nicola Romeo , who converted the factory to produce military hardware for the Italian and Allied war efforts. Munitions, aircraft engines and other components, compressors, and generators based on the company's existing car engines were produced in a vastly enlarged factory during the war. After the war, Romeo invested his war profits in acquiring locomotive and railway carriage plants in Saronno (Costruzioni Meccaniche di Saronno), Rome (Officine Meccaniche di Roma), and Naples (Officine Ferroviarie Meridionali), which were added to his A.L.F.A. ownership.
