Ferrari  unveiled the  458 Italia  in 2010, then followed that up with the more precise and track-ready  458 Speciale  in 2014. As is the tradition with all modern mid-engined Ferraris, Maranello creates a great  car , then a year or two later it chops the top off of it to create a  roadster  version. They are releasing a convertible as well, same concept design! autosmithcar.com

Adding to the acclaimed Evora 400 and Evora Sport 410 models, the new Evora GT430 range now includes two body options and a choice of manual or automatic transmission. Joining the recently announced Evora GT430 is the Evora GT430 Sport, a new member of the family that carries the same phenomenal firepower and sculptured body-style but without the additional downforce-creating aerodynamic elements. Both models are powered by the same 3.5-litre V6 supercharged and charge cooled engine, producing 430 hp and 440 Nm of torque (Automatic version: 450 Nm). One of my favorites right here! autosmithcar.com

It’s a Subaru Impreza inspired BMW M2-Top Gear

Alright, this isn’t the long-awaited  BMW M2  CSL. It’s a lick of paint and some new wheels. But we thought you’d like to see it, as it’s a very famous colour scheme and one that likely inspires a few opinions. So the blue’n’gold  we associate with Subaru Imprezas  has been applied to the littlest M car, the punchy M2. If you need a reminder, its turbo straight-six sends 370bhp to the rear wheels, endowing the wee coupe with a 155mph top speed and 4.5sec 0-62mph time. The wheels are from Vossen – specifically, 20in examples of the smoothly named VPS-314T from the Forged Precision Series – while the paint appears to be BMW’s own Long Beach Blue. You’ve no doubt seen it on M2s before, but adding gold wheels suddenly gives the whole thing a Germanic Impreza 22B look. Which we rather like. My question is.. does BMW fear Subaru WRX.  If you look into it the looks are so close in comparison, I simply do not understand the logic.  Of course motors and logos will be the different bu

We’d hoped for an upset when we decided to pit the  Mercedes E63 S and Audi RS7 against the Nissan GT-R . Maybe, we thought, a supersaloon will finally have the measure of the Nissan GT-R. If you’ve watched the film already, you’ll know it was a close run thing, but this time round the GT-R managed to hold its head high (you might remember it was a different story when we pitched it against the Audi R8 V10 Plus, McLaren 570S and Porsche 911 Turbo S). In essence there are a lot of commonalities between these cars. All are 4WD, feature twin turbos and heavy kerbweights. If we’d bothered to work out the stats before we would probably have predicted the right result. Although we think of the Nissan as a weighty coupe, at 1,752kg, it’s still the best part of 200kg lighter than the 1,955kg Mercedes and 1,930kg Audi. So it’s 321bhp/tonne power-to-weight ratio gives it the edge over the Merc (308bhp/tonne) and Audi (309bhp/tonne). Look at the torque figures and it’s a different story, t

A new  version  of the DB11, yes. It uses a V8 engine, effectively making it a cheaper, downsized, more environmentally friendly alternative to the full-fat V12. Its engine is four litres in size, which in some markets makes it considerably lighter on tax than the 5.2-litre V12. In the UK, the benefits aren’t as crucial, but its £144,900 price tag is still a chunky £13,000 cheaper than the V12’s. But there’s more to it than money saving: it’s brought a tweak to the DB11’s character, too. Why lower cost on a vehicle that is not mass produced and why change a great engine on a care that is a classification of its own?  I wonder the reasons behind it all.

Just read this article, power in a hybrid as well as in an exotic!!! Porsche is expanding its hybrid range, as a powerful plug-in hybrid is being added to the Panamera Sport Turismo model line. The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo flagship model will combine a four-litre V8 engine with an electric motor, resulting in a system power of 500 kW/680 hp. Even when just above idle speed, the Panamera Turbo offers 850 Nm of torque. That means it accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 310 km/h. Average consumption in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) is 3.0 l/100 km. The most powerful Sport Turismo has a range of up to 49 kilometres using solely electric power and therefore producing zero local emissions. It is not just the balance between performance and efficiency that makes the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo unique in its segment; its spatial concept, including a large tailgate, low loading edge, increased luggage compartment

It’s been 25 years since Honda Motor Company introduced the first Type-R badge on the NSX, but for some reason, it’s never been applied to a Honda badged car in North America. Aside from the mid-1990s Acura Integra Type-R, the hottest Hondas have been reserved for Europe and Japan. Thankfully, that is no longer true. The fifth-generation Civic Type-R is now on sale in Honda’s largest market and I’ve had a chance to drive it in its natural environment. I know this is not an exotic but was amazed when they released it, first R badge in so long and the fastest honda produced to date in the mass market. autosmithcar.com

Hyundai’s new Genesis luxury brand has revealed a small sport sedan designed to take on the BMW 3-Series and its ilk. The sedan, dubbed the G70, is a looker, although there’s no doubting the influence of some of its rivals in its design. Lexus’ LS is long overdue for a redesign. The good news is that a redesigned model has been revealed. It goes on sale next February and should only cost slightly more than the outgoing model. McLaren and Honda have finally ended their Formula 1 partnership. Honda made its return to F1 in 2015 as a power unit supplier to McLaren, but a lack of performance from the power unit soon saw McLaren fall to the back of the pack. Hyundai has come such a long way and now they compete extremely well on the red carpet! autosmithcar.com

It won't be nearly as fast as an F1 car... it'll match it “Zero to 100km/h [0-62mph] is not a serious figure any more. So many EVs are quick, they have traction and no lag. But yes, the Project One will match a Formula One car.” This is AMG’s CEO Tobias Moers speaking to Top Gear. We’d suggested that the Project One might not accelerate much more slowly than the Formula One car whose power unit it shares, because although it’s heavier, it has AWD traction. We didn’t expect him to say it was a  match  for the racer. Gulp. I love the concept of the Formula One design...they said it was a match for the racer!

Now in its fourth-generation, the Audi RS4 is a legend in the world of unfeasibly fast dog-friendly vehicles. This new version, revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, appears to only bolster that reputation. Despite dropping a couple of cylinders, its 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 gains power and torque (444bhp and 443lb ft) to dispatch 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 176mph with the optional RS Dynamic package fitted. From the outside, you’re unlikely to mistake it for a 2.0 TDI: wheel arches widened by 300mm front and back, optional 20in wheels and a pair of wide-boy oval pipes make sure of that. The exterior colour – Nogaro Blue – is a nod to a shade used on the first-generation car. The rest of the powertrain is as per RS5, so eight-speed auto and an optional rear sport differential. Standard suspension drops the car 7mm lower than a cooking A4 on sports suspension, while adaptive dampers, ceramic brakes and variable ratio steering are all found on the options list. A
